i need a little advice. i will be in ny on business nov 7-10 and then will meet my sister and niece who will be flying in nov 10....when on business i am staying at the novotel hotel and need to see what hotels are close to the american girl store. how far is the novotel from american girl? any other suggestions....
hotel near american girlThe Novotel is pretty close. Google a street map. Probably 5-10 minutes if you walk slowly.
The nearest hotels are very expensive -- the new Rockefeller Center Hotel, or the Palace. The St. Regis and Peninsula are nearby too.
hotel near american girlAmerican Girl is across from Rockefeller center and Saks. Here%26#39;s a map of Novotel to American Girl

The time is for driving. ;)
Hotels are painfully pricey on Nov. 10. I looked for 3 nights for 2 adults and a child. The best option on quikbook was the Salisbury (west 57th st.) for just under $300/night.
Radio City apts. would be ideal but it%26#39;s booked. The Residence Inn isn%26#39;t too far if it%26#39;s available and affordable. The Holiday Inn Express would also be ok but very small rooms.
thanks for the quick response .... i checked a couple hotels for rates and found 249.00 at the ramada new yorker, 315 at doubletree metro and 299.00 at amsterdam.....we love to shop so will probably be out all day, but we want clean with a decent location....thanks again !
Check out this page from the American Girl Place website (scroll to the bootom for area hotel that are close and have special for AG customers)

We are coming to NY for Christmas mainly because my daughter wants to go to AG place. Someting very close but not on that list is The Warwick Hotel. We booked for 2 nights at The Warwick for just under $600 total (Deluxe with city view)
bootom = bottom ..sorry I was typing fast :D
Affinia 50 is a short walk to American Girl. When we stayed they had an american girl package where you got a teaset and a special pillow for your doll, and the room rate was quite good also. Check out the specials section of their website www.affinin.com
sorry I meant www.affinia.com
The Hilton New York is not too far.
The Ramada New Yorker is dreadful. Read reviews here. Do you know about reviews here? Put hotel name in search box at upper left hand corner of page. Doubletree Metro ok but rooms small. Will you be 3 in the room? Amsterdam probably NOT good.
