Need help: storage for bikes near central park

I would like to know if there is any storage place for bikes/rollerblades near central park.

Also how much should be the monthly fee for storing my bikes?

I don%26#39;t think so. Why wouldn%26#39;t you store them wherever you%26#39;re staying? If you%26#39;re here for a while, I think even a hostel would have some locked storage.

yeah, we don%26#39;t really have anything like that here. Space is too much of a premium! Most residents keep their bikes and rollerblades in their apartments or, if their buildings have them, a storage room or ';bike room'; for residents.

Tell your lodging that you%26#39;re bringing a bike, and perhaps they can give you advice.

just out of curiosity, do you think that if there was a storage place near the central park, local residents that dont live to close to the park or people that work near the park would pay to put their bikes in such a place?

I recommend you get in touch with Transporation Alternatives, an advocacy group for better biking and pedestrian conditions. They know all there is to know about how to live with a bike in NYC.

One of their goals is improving bike storage throughout the city. They try to convince private and government buildings to provide secure bike parking. (They would love to see NYC have ';bike parking lots'; like they have in Amsterdam!)
