We just returned from a week in Montauk and I wanted to post our restaurant experiences.
Oyster Pond - Had a really nice meal with huge portions. Fish cooked perfectly, service very good. 3 stars
ENE - Good but not as great as in the past. All dishes designed to share. Creative selections. In the past we had ';to die for'; meals here but now just good. 2 and 1/2 stars
Fishbar - A new place, small menu but truly excellent. Great views, not packed with screaming kids as every other meal we had was. Excellent fish and italian style fare. 4 stars
Westlake Clam House - This place was highly recommended but I am not sure why. Food really had no taste. We were three, eating different entree%26#39;s but all had no flavor. No stars
Lunch aka Lobster Roll - An old standard for lunches and fried dinners. 3 stars in its category
Just my opinion,

Ester, glad you had a good time in montauk (one of my favorite places... (lobster roll is SUCH an institution, right?) but I actually have a question for you since you are listed from cooperstown.

Hi Stacy,
the biggest tip for visiting Cooperstown is to come after Labor Day when the crowds diminish and everything is still open. Lots of B and B%26#39;s, a fancy hotel, Motels on the lake. Feel awkward talking too much about Cooperstown on this thread so get me your email address and i will send a private note.
