Cost of Taxi from JFK to Times Square

Can anyone tell me how much a taxi would cost between JFK airport and Times Square? Seen mixed prices around ranging from $30 to $45. Plus, how much can we expect to pay on tolls?

JFK to any Manhattan hotel in a yellow cab is a flat rate of $45

I generally give them $60 and it covers toll and tip (but I always way over tip)

It%26#39;s not possible to have seen $30. That would maybe be from LGA airport. As Halifax says, FROM JFK to anywhere in Manhattan is a flat rate of $45. If you use a toll crossing it%26#39;s another $4 and tip is 15-20% of fare. So $60 total should do it.

yes indeed,as the others say,flat fee of $45 plus tip and any toll. Its a lengthy journey so compared to UK taxi fares its good value.
