Angus McIndoe Restaurant

Hi NYC Forumites - has anyone eaten at this establishment at 258 West 44th Street?

Heading into the City tomorrow-10/7 and thought I%26#39;d give it a try.

Sorry for the late post, just got some last minute tickets to Spamalot and this place is almost next door.

It%26#39;s a comfy spot, very convenient. I%26#39;m not crazy about the food though. Honestly, I%26#39;d rather have a pizza at John%26#39;s, which is next door. You might try Bond 45, just a block and a half away. Pretty good Italian. Or any of the usual spots on Restaurant Row -- Joe Allen (where Angus was formerly the captain), Orso, Lattanzi.

Bobby, thanks but I have already gotten the menu from Angus%26#39; website.

Bettina - thanks for the information, can always count on you for some personal experiences.

By the way, enjoy the show!

I%26#39;m with Bettina. Not crazy about the food but it%26#39;s not terrible. The folks there are very nice though. They have a raw bar if you%26#39;re looking for oysters etc. If you like tapas, check out Tintol.

Have eaten there twice in the recent past. Ambiance pleasant . Food adequate.

I usually drift into there for dinner once every trip. Because its----there----and so convenient. I%26#39;ve never had a bad experience at Angus.

Thanks for all the replies. Can always count on the NY Experts!

Got to go, leaving for New Haven to get the train.

I%26#39;ll let you all know how it was.
