We are going to be meeting friends at his office at Broadway and 48th, and then they suggested going to dinner at Orso - they have never been, and neither have we. Is this a good choice for an Italian in the Theatre District - it will be around 7:30-8 pm on a Friday night, so we figure most theatre people would have cleared out.
We want to be able to sit and catch up with our friends with reasonably good food in a place that%26#39;s not too loud or where we%26#39;ll feel rushed.
How is Orso?It%26#39;s one of my favorites, in fact, I was in there Tuesday night. It%26#39;s impossible to get a reservation, but you can just walk in at 8:00 (they%26#39;re still very crowded at 7:30). You can do a full-course, expensive meal, or just get a mini pizza. It%26#39;s a small, pretty restaurant, but the tables are actually well spaced and comfortable.
How is Orso? Thanks Bettina, I thought it was one of your favorites. We%26#39;re still a month away so we should be able to get a reservation. There are just so many Italian restaurants around there they all started to sound the same. This will knock Roberto Passon off my list for another night, since we don%26#39;t want two Italians.
Like the sound of the well spaced tables.
