We are a family of 4 who are hoping to stay in NYC in December on route to Connecticut for Xmas. Could you please advise me on a good clean reasonably-priced family hotel close to the sites?
Clean family hotel required..any ideas?
What are the dates? What%26#39;s your definition of reasonably priced (price per night in $)? How many beds do you need? (ie rooms are reasonably plentiful with 2 double/queen beds for 4 people but depending on makeup of family, sharing may or may not be possible.
Clean family hotel required..any ideas?Doubletree Suites is great for families. If you only need 1 room,Hilton Times Square is another good choice. All close tomany sites and subway
When we first visited NY with our children we stayed in the Beacon Hotel which is on the Upper West Side. It has 1 room suites so the kids weren%26#39;t disturbed by my husband%26#39;s snoring! They also have a little kitchenette which was useful when we didn%26#39;t feel like going out (jetlag caught up with us). The Upper West Side was a great place to stay in order to visit the Park and museums, and you could buy groceries just across the road.
When we returned we stayed at the Embassy Suites but we did find that a little isolated at night (it%26#39;s down next to the World Financial Center). I expect that%26#39;s why it is cheaper than the Doubletree which is similar (both owned by Hilton), but much more in the hub of things.
Hope you find this helpful.
The Affinia group has nice hotels for families. www.affinia.com. But to be honest, I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll find much that would be considered ';reasonably priced'; anywhere at that time of year!
