New Years Eve in New York for a young couple

My boyfriend and I are coming to New York to celebrate New Years this year however I%26#39;m stuck with what to do on New Years Eve.

As we want to make the most of our trip I doubt we%26#39;ll be out clubbing to the early hours so wondered if there were any restaurants/hotels having a party? Want somewhere we can eat, drink, be merry and maybe have a boogie!

I have seen that the club %26#39;Capitale%26#39; is holding an event with a dinner buffet, drinks, DJ%26#39;s etc but I%26#39;m a bit apprehensive about booking it as we wanted something a bit more intimate than that!

We%26#39;re looking to spend about $300 between us.

Would REALLY appreciate some advice.

I%26#39;ve never done this, but the midnight run and fireworks in Central Park get rave reviews on this forum!

I%26#39;ve been to the fireworks at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn. A fun time, not that crowded, close to the subway. (But also, no bathrooms. Bring some warm drinks!)

Most bars and restaurants will have some sort of New Year%26#39;s Eve party going on, with a variety of prices and festivities.

Be prepared that all speciific New Year%26#39;s Eve events will cost more than your average night.

We have decided to go and see the fireworks in Central Park. Would rather be outside in New York otherwise it could be no different from spending it in London if I were to go to a club!

I am going to New York for xmas and new year, looking at being one of those 1000%26#39;s of people in times square. I did a search on google for new yrs eve 100%26#39;s of clubs. unfortunatly I%26#39;m not 21 yet so I think we%26#39;ll be sticking to a dinner, the watching the ball!
