Daisigee, I think you stayed in Jack and Judys again this trip.
I have booked in there for the last week of November. There will be three of us - parents and 15 year old daughter.
Have you any information or advice about whats around Jack and Judys that would be helpful to me - restaurants, breakfast places, jazz venues etc.
I presume J%26amp;Js was as good as the last time you stayed when you rated it.
Thanks for your help

There are loads of eating and drinking places within walking distance of Jacks, including EJ%26#39;s which is literally at the end of the street on Amsterdam and does a good breakfast. Have a look at this site (http://www.nysite.com/mergeog.htm) and click on a section to find out more details of what%26#39;s where..it%26#39;s a great site that I use a lot. Don%26#39;t know any jazz venues in particular but I have heard that Cleopatras Needle is good and isn%26#39;t too far away (http://www.cleopatrasneedleny.com/).
We stayed in room 7 this time which I think had been newly renovated and it was great. This is a front facing room and out of choice I prefer the back of the building for the peace and quiet, but it didn%26#39;t disappoint.

That was quick.
Thanks for the reply, Daisigee.
That website looks good.
Great map many thanks for posting the link.
Don%26#39;t mean to butt-in, but just stayed at Jack %26amp; Judy%26#39;s the week before Daisigee, and wanted to give you a couple restaurant recommendations that we loved. There are so many right close by that it%26#39;s hard to choose, but these stand out:
Breakfast - Popover Cafe - Amsterdam %26amp; 83rd - huge popovers to die for
*** Alice%26#39;s Teacup - 73rd at Columbus - excellent fresh awesome scones, and hundreds of tea choices
Breakfast or dessert - Cafe Lalo - 83rd between Amsterdam %26amp; Broadway
Any meal - Sarabeth%26#39;s - Amsterdam at 80th
Isabella%26#39;s - Columbus %26amp; 77th
Dinner - Rain (Asian) 82nd at Columbus
Lots more, but those are among the best. Have a great trip, it%26#39;s a fantastic location!
Thanks Chissis. Now I%26#39;m really looking forward to it.
I just wanted to add---If you go to Cleopatra%26#39;s Needle, go for a drink since the food is mediocre at best. The live jazz starts at 8 p.m.. You can sit at the bar and casual dress is ok. Be sure to look at their website to see who is performing on what nights since some nights are ';open mike'; nights. We always like to go at least once when we%26#39;re in town.
