Just got back from a nine day adventure in New York City, and wanted to share some of our highlights, plus review Anco Studios.
Loved Anco Studios. The exterior is magnificent. Our room was 2C and faced the back of the building. Very, very quiet. After spending all day in the city, it was wonderful to come back to our absolutely beautiful upper east side neighborhood away from all the crowds. 2nd and 3rd avenue, mere blocks away, had tons of bars, restaurants and shops. Our subway stop was on 77th and Lexington, with a grocery store right there (always open, even after midnight) bagel shop, bakery ,etc. etc. Our room had two double beds and a fold out futon, small one person bathroom and small one person kitchenette. Very good water pressure and never ran out of hot water. High ceilings and old kind of shabby decor, but you could see that it was a diamond in the rough. We really enjoyed our stay there. My daughter and I spent our last two nights at the Hilton which I had reserved through Priceline before I left home, and we were really sorry to leave our apartment. Can%26#39;t compare our hotel room with our Anco studios apartment, because that would be comparing apples to oranges, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
SATC Tour-- Loved it

Anco studios, etc.
Thank you for the review of Anco Studios. I will be there next week (!!) and have been waiting patiently for a review. It even sounds like it could be our room, too. They told us that we have two double beds and a futon. I%26#39;m so glad you enjoyed it.
Anco studios, etc.
Hi... Nice and concise trip report.
You sparked my interests... what%26#39;s anco studios? Is there a website?
Thanks!
Yes. ancostudios.com. Good luck!
Glad you liked Anco, I have friends who always stay there and love it.
Boy, Conan %26amp; Jon Stewart, lucky you to get tickets for both shows.
You sure did a lot.
A friend stayed at Anco last year and loved it, too. It%26#39;s one of the most beautiful blocks in the city. Glad you found your way east a couple of blocks for all the shops and restaurants.
