Leaving on Thanksgiving Day

I understand almost everything is shut on this day. Only thing is it is the last day of my holiday and my flight is later that day.

Will I have any problem at all getting a taxi. Odd question I know but Manchester is full of taxis too yet come a public holiday there isn%26#39;t one for love nor money!

It strikes me that since almost all taxi drivers in NYC are immigrants from abroad, and since Thanksgiving is such an American celebration, while the numbers of cabs may be diminished somewhat, they may not be as rare as you might otherwise expect.

Very much the same around these parts. Must be said the non British do still like the day off round here though regardless of whichever day the holiday is for.
