Thanksgiving Dinner

We are going to NYC for Thanksgiving and we are going to try to watch the parade....I know good luck with that! Anyway we would like to have dinner, it doesn%26#39;t not have to be the traditional dinner but I am looking for something moderate priced not very touristy. We were going to do the Rainbow Room just for the experience of it but then we thought maybe we should do something less expensive.

Thanks

Kim

I just noticed Artisinal, a lovely French brasserie has their Thanksgiving menu online. It%26#39;s $58/person (plus tax, tip, and any drinks ofcourse)

Home is a place famous for their T%26#39;day meal. YOu have to call exactly one month in advance I think.

Park Ave. Cafe is a lovely restaurant that does a fun pay your age promotion for dinner. Don%26#39;t know what they%26#39;ll do for Thanksgiving.

We did the Thanksgiving Day parade a few years ago. What an experience! Through friends we were able to be right along the barricades. It was amazing being so close.

Anyway we did our Thanksgiving Dinner at Carmines, the mid-town location. It was the traditional turkey and all the fixings meal. And as always the portions were HUGE. There were 6 (4 adults/2 kids) of us and we had so much food left over. We had them box it up and then gave it to a group of homeless people. They were very appreciative.

I%26#39;m afraid I don%26#39;t have any idea on the cost as our parents paid the bill. But it was well worth it!

Thanks for all of your suggestions, I was thinking about Carmine%26#39;s but I really loved the menu at Arisal..I think we are going to try that.

If you don%26#39;t mind me asking, what time did you get out there to see the parade? Was it crazy standing there that long? Just want to know what I am in for...thanks.
