First Night Restaurant Suggestion Please

Hi

Does anyone have any restaurant suggestions for our first night in NY?

We are staying near Times Square and the plan is to visit TOTR on our first evening so a restaurant in either location or somewhere in between would be great.

Looking for either American, Italian or chinese, moderately priced (approx $40 per person without drinks). Definitely no chains.

First Night is not a very big deal here in NYC, but every year promoters try to make it more important and popular. Personally, not many people I know make an effort to do anything special for it.

West Bank Cafe is a lovely place to eat, lots of theatre people go there, late night caberet shows downstairs. On 42nd Street at 9th Ave.

I would suggest either Virgils or Ruby Foos located in TS area. Check out the menu%26#39;s on menu pages
